Girl Scout Cookies

I haven't had me some girl scout cookies in quite some time. So when a coworkers daughter came around selling them about 1 month ago, Shannon and I bought three boxes. We got them today!

However, these three you see above weren't actually the correct ones. He accidentally gave us one wrong box. Guess what the only box we opened was...

Yeah, we should have had these three boxes. Luckily, the Dosidos were for his mom, and he said she bought like 20 boxes and wouldn't mind that 2 cookies were missing from one box. I still felt pretty crummy. How could we think we actually bought two boxes of peanut butter cookies... Odd.

Oh, and last night... another s'more. :) Gas ranges rock.

Indoor S'mores

Yesterday, around 5:00pm, eating s'mores sounded really good. But, I was at work and no s'mores were to be had.

After work we went to Target to find a snack, as we were both hungry. We left spending over 70$ on food (don't shop while hungry...) including meat, snacks, and stuff for s'mores. Just in case I got the urge back.

And you know what happened? Around 11:30 pm, Shannon and I decided we wanted something sweet, like s'mores! So we roasted some marshmallows over our gas range, which worked out really well, and had so

S'mores

Well, we own a house. We closed on Friday the 6th and had a lot of people there this past weekend. Me and Shannon, and Rhonda, Michelle, and Anthony, and Jenette and Chris were all there Friday night. Then Mom, Jayme, Maria, and Nicki joined us Saturday night! We all slept in our new house and it was awesome!

Above is the S'mores Michelle and Anthony ordered at Cosi for lunch-dessert.

Roasted

It may appear as though we roasted marshmallows by sunlight. But we didn't. It was dark. But we did roast marshmallows! We made s'mores again! Yay. Also, Maria helped make and eat shish-ka-bobs with us. Jenette and Chris ate some too.

S'mores-scapades

Sunday Jenette and Chris left because Jenette had to go to work on Monday. No fun. Shannon, Michelle, and I went to Borders and Michelle found her a s'mores cookbook. We actually saw it downtown in Denver, but didn't buy it then. Well, this awesome cookbook inspired us to have a s'mores party. And that we did.

As the photo suggests, these were no ordinary s'mores. We used various chocolates (caramel kisses, andes mints, snickers...), fruit (melon, apple, banana), and some cookies (graham cracker, grasshoppers, fudge stripes). Mmm... It was not only fun, but darn tasty.

Just so those who live nearby know, we have all the leftovers and we will be needing to use them. So, perhaps round 2 of the s'mores-scapades?

Monday we headed to Flat Irons Shopping Town. We walked around for about 5 miles! We got there about 11:30 and stayed until after they closed. 10:00. I got a pair of shoes and 2 tank tops. We ate at P.F. Chang's for dinner with Gary and Shannon got the most amazing shrimp dish ever! It was called Shrimp with Candied Walnuts. It was just that in a creamy lemon sauce with melon. It was so so so good.

Other things worth mentioning from Flat Irons day....

-We found a roaming "handicapped parking" sign.

-We had our lives challenged by a Zip shuttle (free mall transportation) at the crest of this hill. We ran pretty quick then proceeded to feel pretty stupid.

-We walked around 5 miles!!
