Football Season Begins

Well, college started already, and K-State had a good win. And actually, NFL started last night, too. So Football Season is underway! Awesome!


Last weekend, we had a visit from Jenette, Chris, and Cassidy. That was fun. They spent the long weekend with us playing Necromunda, eating sushi, and hanging out.


We watched the K-State game on Saturday. Cassidy and Keagan (as well as the 4 adults) dressed in purple gear. It was quite cute.


We started a new Necromunda campaign, and played 10 games.


We played Wasabi, ate some sushi, ate some Siegi sausages, and split up the Just Between Friends sale clothing.


Keagan plays with her feet lots. She can get them to her mouth now, too. It's pretty cute. Sometimes she is able to roll her self onto her back in the morning and then she just plays with her feet, allowing us to sleep a little longer.


I've been doing Etsy stuff. I have about 1 sale every 2-3 days. Keagan has been getting extra upset at night again. She seems like her gums hurt, or her tummy sometimes. But she's been great still. What a cutie. She's good in her car seat, which makes trips to join Shannon for lunch even better.

The Fitz

This weekend was full of 100's of sugar cookies, literally.


Friday night we drove to Wichita for our Superbowl party. We had it at Mom's house this year since that is a more centralized location.


On Friday, we just kinda chilled at Mom's house. Nikki entertained us (as usual), we played some "pool," and even got to sit on the couches downstairs! (That is special because usually the cat owns the basement, but Mom built her a little room so now she doesn't roam free downstairs, hairing and puking on whatever she pleases.)

Saturday we were joined by Rhonda, Jenette, Chris, and Michelle for lunch at La Galette. It's a cute little French joint with yummy pastries and desserts. After lunch, we went shopping for our Superbowl party. Then eventually met up with Andy and Rusty for dinner at Olive Garden. We conviced them to come back to Mom's house and help us frost our cookies for the next day. Shannon and I baked them before we went to Wichita.


On Sunday, we prepared the party and took Nikki and Dakoda for a walk. By kick-off we had all the food ready and there was lots of food to be had. We had the giant sandwich, hummus, salsa, guacamole, cheese dip, bean dip, cheese and sausage with crackers, perogies, 2 types of cheese balls, and 2 other cheese dips, veggies and dip, puppy chow, half of a butter pecan stadium cake (only half because a certain chug dog ate half of it while we all played Guitar Hero), Skittles, and our Superbowl Cookies. I think that is all. It was good! And we actually didn't have too much left over.


It's too bad the Carinals didn't win. All 10 of us were going for them. Mom even bought a sweet Larry Fitzgerald shirt. They played pretty good though. It was an awesome game to watch.

This weekend we made our second trip to Tulsa to look for a house. This time Michelle and Rhonda came with. Then my mom came down on Monday to help us out too.

One thing we did find was a mariachi band! We got out at one house to go look around and there, across the street in all their glory, was a mariachi group with matching outfits and instruments. Awesome.


Other things we did...we went to a Tulsa Talons game on Saturday night. They beat the Rio Grande Valley Dorados in the end. It was a fun game. One thing I'm not diggin' is their KU Jayhawk look-a-like t-shirt.

Go Cats and Kilts

Yesterday was the last K-State football game I will go to for a while. But was a great one. We beat Colorado University 47-20. Take that overrated Buffaloes.

On the way back home after the win, we saw this guy above. He is wearing a sweet purple kilt. Now, I think Chris originally brought up the idea, but we have looked into doing this for ourselves. The only reason we didn't is because purple plaid is hard to come by at a reasonable price. So, it was really neat so see some do it and do it so well.

Fight (again) you K-State Wildcats!

Post game, the team always comes over and sings a song with us. We sang the Fight Song this week. It was about the 85th time we sang it that night. It was quite funny after a while. During the fourth quarter, an assistant director had the band play it about 20 times. That's a lot of fight songing.

For My Sister

We got to the game nice and early. We were able to sit right behind the band with the fans that actually care about the game. Oh, so nice.

Before the band sat in front of us, I noticed all the boxes for each section. Not sure what's in them. Music maybe? But this one is for the tuba's. It made me think of my sister Jayme. She plays the tuba at Wichita State University and plays it well. A little plug...

On Saturday October 27th at 1:00 pm, Jayme will have a recital at WSU. You should go!

Extremely Disappointing

This past weekend was the K-State v. KU football game. I don't really want to talk about it. Mom came up for it which was fun. We got there late and had to sit in the very back, which wasn't fun. And we played crummy and lost, which really, really sucks.

Football Season

Football season is back! I am very glad with that. Saturday was the first home game for the Wildcats. We beat the San Jose State University Spartans 34-14. It was a fun game to go too despite K-State's efforts to remind us of many who have died. (It was Ft. Riley day and they scrolled through a list of soldiers who've died and the half time show was dedicated to a student who recently passed away. BUT... It was a fun game to go to.

Also, in football news, our fantasy league is back (because the NFL is back). I opened the season with a loss to last years PIFF champion. Better luck next week when I take on the league founder.
