A goold ol' fashioned monkey stompin'.

I've been having a good time with my life (outside of work). Work isn't bad, it's just not good.

I'll post some pictures when I'm home and not busy sometime.

I thought of something. It has to do with hobbies. I have hobbies, I like to sew, paint, knit, do stained glass, and other such fun things. But now that I have a job that takes up my day from when I wake up to 10 1/2 hours later, I just don't have time to do all my fun things. So, do people lose their hobbies when they get jobs?

Depends on how much you're working, I think. I used to do all sorts of crazy stuff on my time off. Anymore I'm pulling 50-60 hours a week, so when I get home I don't want to do anything but NOT work.

The problem with this is that my hobby has turned into my work, and its hard to feel excited about something I have to do at work.

(Also, someone once said "Its not going to work so much that I dread, its the (insert number of hours you work a day) hours waiting till I go home I dread." Its so true.)

No, you dont have to give up your hobbies. But you do have to make time for them like you didnt before. This could be a good thing because you start to appreciate them more than before. When you get to do a beloved hobby, it feels extra good. The bad is you definately do your hobbies less time than before. You can juggle it Nick, just make sure you always make time, even if only a short time, to do the things you love to do. I need to take my own advice I think!

I have tuba. That's really my only hobby. Even though I go to school for it I need to find time for it when I am home. But I have to find time for Nikki as well. But I think of it this way, if I didn't work I would have a lot harder time being able to do these hobbies. For one I wouldn't have a tuba and I wouldn't have anything for Nicole. So it makes me fee better about not having much personal time.

I think the feeling is mostly an issue with being gone from home the last 5 weekends in a row.

@hockeyfrog: yeah. That is something I've thought about before. I mean, I love sewing/knitting/modeling/etc but I don't think I'd want to do it for a living because then it wouldn't seem as fun.
